I decided on this combination of translation ideas. "Hej" seems to be a proper Eo word, and "okazis pri" or "okazis al" seems to be a toss-up. And "hejmbestaj" seems to convey the feeling of English "pet" best. For translation help, thanks to: Max Robinson and ::júbilo::haku::
Mi devus aǔkultinta Thomas anstataǔ Sennamulo:) Ŝajnas ke la idiotismo "What about" en la angla ankaǔ ekzistas kaj en la latina kaj en la Esperanta! Rigardu la lastajn du blogpoŝtojn. Jen, finfine, estas la plej bona traduko:
This one was tough. The problem is how to translate "What about," and so far, nobody's come up with a really good expression that conveys the sense of the English. If anybody ever does, I'll redo this. Thanks to everybody in the last post who contributed!
Mi proponas: "Ĉu denove inventaĵo? Kia obsedulo!"
